I'm not sending you
on a trip. I'm hosting it.
I'll be there from the first dinner to the final day — setting the tone, keeping things moving, and making sure the experience lives up to what was promised.
I'm Sean Thomsen.
I spent around 15 years working FIFO in mining and rail. Like a lot of people out there, I thought I'd do it for a couple of years, save some money and move on. Fifteen years later, I was still doing the roster.

The money was solid. The leave was there. But getting a proper trip organised was always harder than it should have been. Mates on opposite swings. Some with kids. Some keen right up until it was time to book. Then another break was gone with nothing much to show for it.
That's why I started Offsider Travel Co.

I've travelled extensively, solo and with groups, through Asia, Europe and the United States. I've made the mistakes, found the tourist traps, and learned the difference between a great trip and an expensive week standing around wondering what happens next.
I also appeared on Married at First Sight Australia and later published my book, Married Lies. It taught me plenty about people under pressure, different personalities, and how quickly the atmosphere can change when a group is thrown together.
But the most relevant thing about me is simple:
I know how to host.
I know how to welcome people properly.
I know how to keep the energy up without forcing it.
I know how to bring a quieter person into the conversation without putting them on the spot.
I know when to step in, when to change the pace, and when to give people some space.
And when something changes — as it always does when travelling — I can make a decision and keep the week moving.

I don't expect six strangers to become best mates overnight.
What I can promise is that I'll speak with every guest personally, set clear expectations before we go, and remain present throughout the trip. You won't be dropped into a group and left to work everything out yourselves.
A local operator handles the accommodation, transport and ground logistics. I focus on the part that can make or break the experience — the hosting, the atmosphere and the way the week actually feels.
This is my trip. My reputation is attached to it. And I'll be there personally.
You bring the leave.
I'll make sure the week is worth taking it.
Offsider Travel Co. is for people who are done waiting for the group chat to turn into a booking.
